Discovered Geek Gurl Diaries through the Wolfram Alpha newsflash (posted 11/21/13, see link) that they'd be including the Wolfram Langauge and Mathematica free on all new Rasperry Pi system software bundles; that naturally led to the Rasperry Pi blog and their post about Carrie Anne Philbin's new book (due out this month in the UK, next month in the US) called Adventures in Raspberry Pi.

Particularly liked her short video about how to program music using Sonic Pi. She points out good practices like commenting code and indenting loops:
